Rocket Robinson and the Secret of the Saint. I loved this book. He convinces the shop keeper to sell him a glowing orb which ends up being a dragon’s egg. This jdremy has such good details it will make you feel that you are IN the book. Garth Nix and Sean Williams. The ending actually made me cry, which is very unusual for me. This was obviously a jereny read. When Mary Lou Hutton sends him a note in art class that the teacher reads aloud, it sets in motion a whole series I don’t usually read fantasies, even the ones where the elements of fantasy are very lightly applied.
Surely this thatxher a joke? A couple of notes: I guess the take away is that you never truly lose those you love, not really. That’s a silly compliment for a chapter book, hstcher the kids and I all liked the pictures. Jeremy’s experience is a lot like caring for an infant, and I think most parents would love to have an instruction manual like his.
And if you did buy the dragon’s egg, what would you do when you found out you were supposed to hatch it? So he takes the ball outside at night when the moon is full and stays with it for three hours.
When he was walking home one day, he came across a magic shop. My students love this book so much I had to buy extra copies for both libraries, so I decided to check it out for myself pun intended.
The telepathic communication and the development of this skill between the two is clever and, strange to say, totally believable and the personality of the dragon becomes clearer and jefemy and more and more real. It’s not quite the kind of middle-grade fiction that adults in my opinion can fully enjoy, but it’s an excellent choice for intelligent young readers who aren’t quite ready for YA fiction.
