Harper Hall of Pern 3 books. A familiar formula, right? Dragonsong is the first book in the Harper Hall trilogy and the first Dragonriders of Pern book that I’ve read. The first two books are about an unloved girl finding her place in the world.

But after having read so many PNR books lately which can be very explicitit was nice to read something a bit lighter, but with much of the fantasy I like to escape in. Menolly is a great character, and her adventures are timeless and instantly engaging.
